Collaboration and Inquiry : Summer Training Video 3

The subject of this video in the series is something that is an integral practice to the inquiry classroom. The benefits that derive from collaboration are too numerous to mention. Dont jut save it for occasional group projects, include it within every single day. Download this PDF with links to resources mentioned in the video. Here you will see some ideas for developing this practice and the skills that it brings to your young learners:

  • Becoming more student centred by supporting student talk, choice and reflection;
  • Communicating learning expectations explicitly with checklists, rubrics and models;
  • Planning new ,consistent routines with the children, to emphasise the development of ATL skills, progressively building upon benefits of combined thinking and provide moments of feedback.

So, moving on to video 3: Collaboration: A Key to Inquiry

Enjoy!
