About Me

Hi there,

I’m Susan. I’ve been teaching for a long time. I graduated from Glasgow University, Scotland, in 1992. You do the maths!

Roma, Me and Caesar.

As an international teacher, I’ve taught in 5 different countries, to kids with a myriad of backgrounds. My children believe that I am part gypsy,as I drag them around the world with me. Currently, we are in the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Colorado and I promised that we would remain here until they graduated High Schools. ( my wings are temporarily clipped)

I’m an avid believer in the inquiry based process of learning, having taught mostly within the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme.  By teaching children to wonder and how to find out the answers to their questions, we are creating lifelong learners.

Besides having taught forever, I am mum to two teenagers and a rescued Rottweiler and a Doberman.

My goal with this blog is to hopefully offer some guidance and inspiration with tips and tools that you can take directly back to your own classroom and your students.

Enjoy!

¬ Susan
