Where does the time go? It seems that the cacophony of standardized testing was only just upon us. And now, we have only three days left together, my fifth grade and I.
Within the confines of a classroom, there is an enormous amount shared between a teacher and her students. We laugh together, get annoyed with one another , occasionally cry together and, overall, we are learning together. As cliched as it must sound, we really are like a large family; there was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had do many children she didn’t know what to do. That is where the similarity ends. We know what to do….most of the time!
As the school year ends once more, it is with mixed emotions that a fifth grade teacher says goodbye to her brood. These children move on and up to middle school. And I am moving on too. One door closes another door opens.
